Al’s children – his greatest legacy – have assumed stewardship for the Foundation moving forward. Chris, Janice, and Paul hold the town of Almonte, and the community of Mississippi Mills dear to their hearts. They look forward to supporting their home community through the Al Potvin Family Foundation.
Chris Potvin
- Chris is a graduate of Trent University and has over 28 years of management experience in manufacturing.
- He has volunteer experience with the Food Bank, the Canadian Ski Patrol and the Ottawa Bike Path Patrol.
- Chris has four stepchildren and lives with his wife Lori on Calabogie Lake
Janice Potvin
- Now retired, Janice spent over 30 years working in Finance, including many years in the family business, Hilan Creative Playstructures, finishing her career as Corporate Controller for a large, privately held international manufacturing company
- Always interested in fitness, she spent 8 years teaching exercise classes at Almonte Fitness Centre
- She has one daughter and is currently living near Algonquin Park with her husband, keeping active and exploring hidden gems around Canada and the U.S.A.
Paul Potvin
- Paul inherited his father’s gift of entrepreneurship by building a successful equipment rental company servicing the film and television industry, which he sold in 2013. He now is a member of the senior leadership team for a large multi-national business in the same industry.
- His passion for all things pedal-powered has taken him on some epic cycling adventures across North America and helped raise funds for the Wellspring Foundation, MS Society of Canada and Jack.org.
- Paul lives in Toronto with his wife Jennifer and their cat Oliver.
